Cub Scouts and youth interested in joining Troop 18 are invited to join us for a fun-filled weekend of games and hanging out at the beach.  We will be camping at Leo Carrillo State Beach Campground 35000 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265.  You can join us for the night from Saturday, 3/16/24 to Sunday, 3/17/24, or for the day on Saturday, 3/16/24 click here to sign up.  If you have any questions email us at troop18noho@gmail.com Troop 18 Scouts will arrive on Friday, 3/15/24 to set up.

Sunday, March 10th is Scout Sunday at the First United Methodist Church North Hollywood. Troop 18 will be participating in the service with several readers and a flag ceremony to start the service. Please plan on attending. We will meet at the sanctuary of the church at 10 am to prepare. The service begins at 10:30 am and will be finished by 11:30 am. This is an opportunity to show the members of the church who they are supporting by sponsoring our troop. It also lets us say thank you.

Unfortunately, Camp Josepho has canceled all camping trips for February and March due to damage from recent rains, so we are not able to camp there this weekend. Instead, we are heading out for a day hike to Vasquez Rocks this Saturday, 2/24/24. We will meet at the Scout Hut at 9 am then head over to Vasquez Rocks. Be sure to pack a sack lunch and bring a water bottle. Wear your B uniform. If you need to do any hikes for a merit badge or rank advancement let us know the distance needed so that we can make sure to complete the requirement this Saturday. Meet the Scouts of Troop 18 and learn how to make some dutch oven donuts, knife handling skills, essential knots and first aid basics!

Our Troop along with other troops in the WLACC Campo de Cahuenga District is participating in a food drive for the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry in Studio City.  On 2/3/24 grocery bags were dropped off on a few nearby residential blocks.  We are heading back on 2/10/24 to pick up the food donation bags and sort the items for drop-off at the NH Interfaith Food Pantry. Stop by the Scout Hut on Sat 2/10/24 at 9 am to volunteer.

We are heading over to Rockreation for some climbing and repelling.  Parents will need to drive their scouts to and from the event.  The fee is $30 per Scout to be paid at the facility.  All Scouts should wear their class B shirts. Join us for our Court of Honor and our Annual Holiday Dinner as we recognize our Scouts for their rank advancement and merit badge completions. Dinner is $10 per person and family members are welcome. We will be ordering Italian food from Victorios Ristorante for dinner.  If you are attending, please let us know by Saturday, 12/9/23 how many dinners you will be ordering for your family. Scouts are heading out for a day of bowling at Pinz Bowling. Scouts are encouraged to invite friends who may want to join the troop or just come to see what we are about! All scouts should wear their class B t-shirts. Join us as we set up Troop 18 spooky camping trunk at this years 2023 FUMC Trunk or Treat.  We will be decorating, setting up and giving out candy. 

We are heading out to volunteer at Club 21's annual Together is Better Walk.  Our troop will be manning the Frisbee painting booth.  This is a good opportunity to earn some service hours.  Central Park 275 S. Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA 91105.

We will be helping Noah who will be refurbishing and reorganizing the drama room and a storage container at John Burroughs High School.  In addition, Noah will be constructing a ramp to transport costume racks and props to and from the stage, as well as a shelf to store props used in the class daily.  Noah is also raising funds to cover the materials for the ramp and prop storage, and cleaning supplies for his project.  As well as for food for the volunteers. If you wish to donate please do so via Venmo @Noah-Castiel or by check to Troop 18.  To Volunteer to help Noah with his project stop by anytime this weekend, Sat-Sun, 10/7-10/8, between 9AM-4PM.  The location of his project is John Burroughs High School - Drama Room 1920 W Clark Ave, Burbank, CA 91506. Enter through the gate on N. Keystone Street. If the gate is not open please enter through the door labeled Artist Entrance and go through the choir room towards the Drama Room.  Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome and appreciated!
