Your First 30 days

YOUTH REGISTRATION  

• Register your Scout with Scouting America. The annual Youth Registration fee is $160 and is paid directly online to Scouting America register for Troop 18 Boys HERE and for Troop 18 Girls HERE.  

  • • • • • $85 goes to National Scouting America

          • $75 goes to our local Council

• Pay $100 annual Troop 18 dues. Dues can be paid at a Wednesday Troop 18 meeting (cash/check) or by Zelle/Venmo. 

  • • • • • The Troop 18 annual dues cover January through December. Scouts who join during the year will pay prorated dues based on their join date.

          • Troop dues help fund:

            • • • Rank Advancement badges and pins

                • Merit badges

                • Propane and troop cooking supplies

                • Troop camping and outdoor program equipment

• Purchase the Uniform and Scout Handbook from the Valley Scout Shop, 16525 Sherman Way, #C8, Van Nuys, CA 91406 (enter through the rear door). We also have selected gently used uniform items available. Ask during a meeting. Uniform Guide

ADULT REGISTRATION  

• The annual Adult Registration fee with Scouting America is $80. To register, click here 

• Complete the CA Mandated Reporter Training 

• Complete Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT), then email their completed certificate to adriana.delgado@scouting.org

• Schedule an appointment to have fingerprints taken at the WLACC office located at 16525 Sherman Way, Van Nuys, CA, if fingerprinting has not already been completed.
