Phil Connery
In January, 2022, Mr. Connery stepped into the very large shoes left by long time Scouter Dan Doggett when Dan stepped down from the Scoutmaster position.
Phil began scouting in the late 1960s as a Cub Scout and continued through Boy Scouts (now "Scouts BSA"). He attended Philmont at the age of 13.
In addition to his current duties as Troop 18 Scoutmaster, Mr. Connery also serves as Assistant Scoutmaster (and a founder) at Troop 189G. He is Assistant Cubmaster at Pack 311, and Assistant Advisor (and a founder) with Crew 4748.
In addition, Mr. Connery serves as Vice-Chair of Program for the Campo de Cahuenga District. He is the 2022 recipient of the District Award of Merit, among the highest honors the District awards.
Mr. Connery is a USA Archery Level 2 Instructor, and a USBC Bronze Bowling Coach. He holds 2 professional SCUBA credentials; PADI Dive Master and PADI Assistant Instructor. Mr. Connery is also a USHPA P2 Paraglider pilot. Mr. Connery earned his M.F.A. in Acting & Directing from the University of Arizona. Mr. Connery plays several musical instruments, and is an avid motorcyclist
