The 2010 National Scout Jamboree will be held in Caroline County, Virginia to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Scouting in the United States. The United States Army will host 35,000 Scouts and leaders for 10 days of adventures at Fort A.P. Hill. While 35,000 may sound like a lot of people, we only have room for 36 Scouts from the entire Andrew Jackson Council!

Steve Zachow from Troop 300 has been selected to serve as the Scoutmaster and Jay Cooke from Troop 1 will be his first Assistant. The deadline to “get your name in the hat” for this once-in-a-lifetime event is December 31 of this year.
