Welcome to Troop 18 of the Boy
Scouts of America,
Andrew Jackson Council!
Chartered in 1922, Troop 18 is one of the oldest
sponsored Boy Scout troops in America by the First
Presbyterian Church. Troop 18 has the distinction of awarding over 230
Scouts the rank of Eagle since 1924.
The troop currently meets every Monday night during the school
year from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m.
(with a few exceptions) at the First
Presbyterian Church Scout Room (3rd floor). Our typical
Monday night meetings consist of learning Scout skills, working on
advancement and merit badges and planning upcoming campouts and other
activities. Troop 18 typically has at least one camping trip every month
between September and April. Additionally, a group of Scouts attend the
various Boy Scouts of America Summer Camps offered all across the country.
We usually go to Camp Hood near Crystal Springs.

Scout Uniform Information:
Troop 18 Uniform Exchange
(free, ongoing swap/shop). Sarah Skelton has collected scout uniforms and stored them in boxes in
the scout room/office at the church. These uniforms are available to
Troop 18 members at no charge. Just go during a scout meeting and search
the box. Also, please consider donating any scout
uniform items....shirts, belts,
pants, shorts, kerchiefs,
etc. You can add them to the box or drop them off at the Skelton’s house
(1230 Belvoir Place
in Belhaven). Currently there are shorts (mostly small sizes) and some
pants available. If you need something, check the boxes. There is a
sign-out sheet attached to the top. Contact Sarah Skelton with any thing
