Several members of the green patrol visited the art exhibit at the Irby center at Belhaven. It featured a number of Norman Rockwell paintings depicting the journey to Eagle. There were also paintings about scouting from other artists. It was a very good outing for these boys..

Boy Scout Troop 18, of First Presbyterian Church, Jackson, recently held a Court of Honor for new Eagle Scouts. Garrett Taylor, son of Ron and Helen Taylor, received the rank of Eagle Scout at the recent Court of Honor. Garrett oversaw the building of picnic tables for the Mississippi School for the Blind as his Eagle project.


Boy Scout Troop 18, of First Presbyterian Church, Jackson, recently held a Court of Honor for new Eagle Scouts. Zac Watts, son of Jim and Sue Watts, received the rank of Eagle Scout at the recent Court of Honor. Zac is the third son of Mr. and Mrs. Watts to receive his Eagle Scout rank. Zac's Eagle project was landscaping at the Neighborhood Christian Center.


Boy Scout Troop 18 in Jackson MS had six Scouts recently complete the God and Country program, which encourages Scouts to better know their pastor and counselor, to understand their particular church's structure and objectives, and to participate in services and projects that will give them a better understanding of the mission of their church. From the left are Davis Abraham, Sanford Moore, Stuart Ramsey, Crockett Bowie and Elliott Browning. Not pictured is Jack Strahan. Troop 18 is sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Jackson MS.


The Order of the Arrow, the national brotherhood of honor campers, recognizes Boy Scout campers who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. Myers Carpenter recently spent a weekend at Camp Hood completing his ordeal for the Order of Arrow. Myers is a member of Boy Scout Troop 18 of First Presbyterian Church of Jackson MS.
