Pack 7 enjoyed a great campout this weekend at the Rainwater Observatory in French Camp, Mississippi.

Rainwater is located 1.5 hours north of Jackson on the Natchez Trace. Pack 7 arrived at 4:00 on Friday and stayed until 10:00 on Saturday. The Rainwater staff gave the Cubs lessons on constellations, telescopes, and the planets of our solar system. Blessed with a clear night, the Pack viewed a number of planets, moons, stars and galaxies with the observatory’s high-powered telescopes. Fifty Cubs were in attendance.
