MONDAY NIGHT MEETINGS
Staring in late August through early May, Troop 18 meets every Monday night (with exception to most holidays) from 7:00 p.m. until 8:15 p.m. on the FPC Scout Room .

Typical meetings consist of guest speakers, patrol-led activities, merit badge classes and many other exciting activities.

CAMPOUTS
Outdoor adventure is one of the most important aspects of Scouting. Not only does it allow a Scout to experience nature at its best, but gives him the opportunity to learn outdoor skills and strengthen his imagination and interest.

Troop 18 follows the camping principles of "Leave No Trace Behind" (http://usscouts.org/advance/venturing/LeaveNoTrace.html).

Between the months of September and April, Troop 18 has at least one weekend campout or outdoor activity. These campouts typically are planned around a central theme that may be geared toward a specific skill or merit badge.

SUMMER CAMPS
Troop 18 typically sends various groups of Scouts to the many summer camps across the nation that are owned or sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America. These camps include:

Camp Hood
Philmont
Sea
Base
Northern Tier Canoe Base

COURT OF HONOR CEREMONIES
The Court of Honor ceremony is a special time when ranks of advancement and other special awards are presented to Scouts and leaders. Troop 18 holds three to four Court of Honor ceremonies each Scout year.

and is a member of the Eastern District of the Andrew Jackson Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
